CINDY WHETSELL
Whetsell is the County Administrator and Interim Economic Development Director for Lewis County. She attended Moorefield High School and Alderson Broaddus University. Her entire profession tenure has been in county government having worked in Hardy, Grant and Lewis Counties. She is active in both the County Commissioner’s Association of West Virginia and the West Virginia Association of Counties and serves on the County Commissioner’s Association of West Virginia Service Review Committee. Whetsell is a member of the West Virginia Economic Development Council.
Whetsell serves on numerous boards including: Central West Virginia Community Action, Lewis County Senior Center; Region VII Planning and Development Council; Lewis County Planning Commission; Lewis Upshur Local Emergency Planning Committee; Hardwood Alliance Zone Committee; and the Corridor H Committee. She is a member of the Weston Rotary Club and has been active in 4-H, Community Educational Outreach Service and the Mountaineer Parents Club.
